Wadhurst Castle is on the outskirts of the village of Wadhurst and 45 miles from central London. Maidstone is 20 miles away, Gatwick 30 miles and Brighton 25 miles.

By Road

Accessible from the A2 out of London. Take the M25 (exit Jnc. 5) on to the A21 to the Lamberhurst bypass and then the B2100 through Lamberhurst and Cousley Wood to Wadhurst. Our entrance should then be directly opposite you, with cast iron railings and a gatehouse to the left hand side of the gates.

Although the postcode for the Castle is TN5 6DA, some sat navs take you to a nearby road called Castle Walk, which is incorrect, as there is no access to the castle from there.

By Train

Wadhurst Station is on a Main Line route from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East and London Bridge – journey time approx. 1 hour – with regular trains. You should consider ordering a taxi from the station to the Castle in advance as there are frequently none when you arrive.

By Air

The nearest airport is London Gatwick.
