Wadhurst Castle is a family home with a warm and welcoming atmosphere for your very special day. The gardens have magnificent views for miles across the Sussex countryside and with the Castle as a backdrop your photographs will be superb.

 

Weddings at Wadhurst entitle you to exclusive use of the Library, the Moncrieff Room, the Winter Garden, and the Inner and Outer Halls, and of course the main gardens with their extensive views.

 

Ideally suited for smaller, more intimate weddings, at Wadhurst Castle ceremonies can be conducted in the Winter Garden or the Moncrieff Room. The magnificant Drawing Room is also available in the summer months. Both the Moncrieff Room and the Winter Garden have a capacity for approximately 45 guests to attend the ceremony, and the Drawing Room can cater for 100. A reception for this number can be catered for within the Castle. However, you can increase your guest list up to 200 for the reception by using a marquee on the south lawn.

 

The Castle is also available for receptions should you wish the wedding ceremony to be conducted elsewhere, and the gardens will provide a delightful setting for reception drinks and photographs.

 

Changing facilities will be made available for the convenience of the Bride.

 

As the origins of Wadhurst Castle are historic there are varying floor levels, however, disabled access and movement can be organised on request.

 

We are sure that you will appreciate that only appropriate music is suitable in these peaceful surroundings and that the evening comes to a close at 11.00pm with guests departing by 11.45pm.
